To give Cas a bit of a break, I took the kids to a silk farm and weaving place. It was fascinating to see how they nurture the silk worms, how they unravel the 400m cocoon threads, then dye it, put it onto yarns and finally weave it. It was proper artisan work and, like most experts, they all made it look very easy. We bought Cas a lovely grey-blue scarf as a momento.
A quick swim in the pool and then off to the airport for our flight to Luang Prabang in Laos.
