Hey everyone!!

We''re in Cambodia chilling to the sound of a really weird, whiney instrument coming from a party down the street. So we arrived in KL last night and were pathetically tired. It's funny how sitting around and doing nothing for a good 10 hours can do that to you. After impressively not getting lost (zoe credits this to herself- I personally think it was a fluke), we checked into our pretty sweet guesthouse with a distinct lack of hot water. oops. Then we headed off into the concrete, intimidating jungle that is KL. Our ridiculously friendly staff members told us about a party we HAD to go to, so after walking around Chinatown for a bit we decided we'd attempt to find it. Find it we did (thanks ofcourse to Kate( asif it was all me)) but it wasn't up to our party animal standards so we headed off in search of more excitement. On the way however we did find some pretty swell street food, actually in hindsight it was pretty gross, however we're proud we ate from a street vendor- even though it was just burgers. and Zoe had a watermelon drink and still isn't ill!

So cut a long night short, we piked and went to bed and didn't wake up til 12 to watch some truly spectacular fireworks. Understandable as we had to be up again at 3:30! So after our early morning flight this morning, we took MOTORBIKES into Siem Reap town. They dropped us off to a guest house which is sweet except for the lack of bathroom light. So we headed out to find some food where Zoe was boring and ate fried rice while kate tried traditional thai khmer noodles. ZOes was better. After eating we passed some pleasant time being hopelessly lost and almost being run over by a whole array of vehicles. Eventually we found some markets and after a momentary ;lapse in judgement which involved zoe saying 'lets get our haircut!"(kate admits she agreed. momentarily.) we decided we'd stick to buying presents. So thats about it for now, but we're heading to the temples tomorrow. KEEP READING! (and make sure you comment) but don't expect so much detail. 😊

Hoping you're having as much fun as we are,
Zoe and Kate

i have to start by saying the writer of this blog sounds mildly schizophrenic, but that's all good - it made me laugh. it sounds like you're having a ball, though, and doing some wild things, like buying BURGERS off vendors. hehe, and why would zoe get poisoned from a watermelon drink?! the motorbikes sound cool though. hope that your first day of not getting lost is a good omen of signs to come, joy x

Happy New Year to you to
Hey guys, I am so proud of you for not getting really lost, I must say I was a little worried to start with, but it sounds like you are having an awesome time. The only thing that I can say to top your NYE was that we stayed up all night and watched the sunrise. Keep the great stories coming, I shall be living vicariously through them for the next few weeks. Keep safe, love bri xox
