Angkor Temples
Angkor Wat itself Not going to write very much this time as i really do think the pictures say it all.
We turned up and managed to get a nice guest house not too far from the temples then decided that we would get a bite to eat before going to see Angkor for sunset and this also meant we could get our passes sorted before morning so as to avoid any waiting around then next day- Angkor Wat was amazing but didnt expect it to be as good as it was the next day!
Next morning Tim and I hired bikes and biked around temples on our own- is better that way as you only see what you want to see!
They are truly awesome and is really strange how you can see where the carvings have been chiseled off and re carved when different religions have taken over!
Spent the next day biking around with Steve and Cliare and then that night Tim left as he had to meet a friend! the next day Steve Claire and I biked out quite far before returning and going for some banchel- a local dish which is kind of an omelette- i ate with my
fingers as everyone else was- the locals that is- and i thought it was absolutely great!
Sorry not much writing but have soo many photos to upload! But it really is awe inspiring!
