Sarah playing dress ups with her little brother! When I eventually woke up this morning we went for a swim at the local country club where Sarah is a member of. We spend a good hour or 2 swimming around while taking turns looking after Hannah and Micah.
We had buns and yummy salad fillings for lunch then we spent the next few hours mucking around home. I attempted to Skype Mum but the connection kept cutting out so that didn't end up happening then we watched Nicole's skydiving dvd and photos. We also spent some time arranging activities for later today and tomorrow. Sarah rung the people for us to arrange a deal because apparently they will try and rip the tourists off.
At about 4.30pm we headed down to the river to go on a boat trip to see the Water Village which is hundreds of houses up on poles over the water. It was really cool to see all the different coloured houses and we even saw about 5 water schools (I'm not too sure where the children would have played though). The waters were very choppy on some parts of the river because there are so many water taxis going to and from the Water

Nicole back at work! Village to the land. We also saw some mosques and part of the Sultans residence which is the biggest residing palace in the world. At the end of the boat ride the driver took us to his house where one of the ladies living there took us to their living room and we had a cup of tea and a range of traditional foods which were unusual but delicious! We finished our trip around the Water Village at about 6pm then we met Simon for dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was quite amusing because Sarah and Simon knew exactly what they were going to order and Steve, Nicole and I took ages but finally made up our minds. Micah was awesome... he demolished all sorts of food... even the egg with eel inside it (which was accidentally ordered). We finished tea quite late so Sarah and Simon took the kids home and we went to the car to drop some stuff off before we were going to head to the mall across the road... well in true Brunei fashion a few rain drops fell before it bucketed down... really hard! All we had to do was run across the

Steve and I on the river road but from one side to the other we were absolutely drenched! We spent a while in some shops and Nicole and I came out with a new top each. As we stepped out of the mall and decided to make a run for it in the rain a massive bolt of lightning and a huge rumble of thunder hit right next to us... it was SOOOOO loud that I jumped and me with my earthquake brain ran behind Steve... well the loca boys sitting on the verandah thought it was funny and had a good laugh! We waited for another bolt of lightning to hit before making a run for the car... again getting drenched!
After getting home and talking for a while we headed for bed!
Another great day in Brunei!

P.S Monique would like me to explain that apparently I am a bad listener but really I did not hear anything they said... I blame Skype! :P
