Sorry for the quite lack of information from here. But apart from really struggling with finding internet, not to say fast internet or just having the time, this is clearly just not one of my talents (am combined with masterly talents in the art of procrastination and postponing, doesn't add up to a winner). Quite frankly I by now find it a lot easier to climb a 1000m mountain on the bike than sitting and getting the experiences translated to a screen. Those who know me might have seen this coming, but to all the ones I promised, Im sorry, and feel very guilty, but will hopefully just have something up in the very near future.

Wanted, and promised quite a few so far, to upload my diaries, but due to quite a few days where the bed was screaming a bit louder than the small netbook I still have substantial holes in the diary. but will try to work that out (probably not before I'm back, though).

But hope to have at least country to country description up in a few days. Have it almost ready on the netbook, but somehow quite struggling to get it uploaded.

But as a start I've uploaded the route, so I at least can give something, and just a brief introduction to the last 2 months life as a pedaling gypsy here on this mesmerizing, diverse and logic-defying piece of land some know as Africa.

But basically, doing really fine. Really gotten to love the strange but hugely rewarding life of a nomad with own wheels. Still happy to saddle up on my proud aluminum stallion every morning and have luckily gotten by without too many problems. Only big problem was a broken rim pretty early on. Took six failed repairs and a week of waiting for a new rim from South Africa before it was finally fixed. But no problems otherwise with neither me (apart from a very long train trip in Zimbabwe after some bad chicken ...and perhaps Altar Wine) or more importantly the bike!
Had both some extremely tough days really pushing me to the limit (ex. crossing the 800km dirt and sand pits in Western Tanzania. Extremely rewarding area, but wouldn't repeat it for a million!) and, luckily, a lot of just really enjoyable easy riding (ex. will never forget the lakeside days in Malawi).

Counter right now is at 4300km, and Im currently in Rwanda and planning to cross to Uganda tomorrow and 'set the controls for the heart of the sun'.
Will try to make a few updates along the way. ...but as you see this took me more than 4300km to make, would really hate to give many promises!
