Oh, behold thy desert! What a place to stay, the white deserted beaches of Mauritania. But hey man, did the United Nations have a say or what? Don't give me that infoshite, here's the everyday hazzle smazzle of peoples in a not-so-developed world. Pay - or better - hire a screenwriter next time, not some office-dry bureaucrat from Canada to tell the story. Surely the Mauritanians must have something to tell the world, not let the world tell them tell the world the story of their oh so beatiful land.

12 and Holding (USA 2005, 94 mins)
Hungry for love, no european film meal can ever - ever - tell a story like 'em americanos do. Home of the free, home of the brave! Tell me, give me, let me have a bite of that moviefatburger of yours right this minute. A long, dry, tough ride through the Euro Movie Zone left us thirsty for the real stuff, the right stuff. And where else to go than the US of A.? Thanks! The movie? By Euro standards the best ever, by US standard, just fine, just fine. Acting superb.
