On the way to my second village visit in Chulu, I had the chance to stop by the amazing Masuku coal processing plant. The land was too hilly around the coal mine itself to build a rail line right to it, so this processing station is about 20 km from the mine and is fed by a gondola style 1 tonne bucket system. That’s right, coal is hauled 20 km through the air, hanging from a cable, 1 tonne at a time. Enjoy the pictures!

This thing is supposed to move coal reserves around a huge field. To me it just looks mean.
