On Saturday, we went with our friend M to buy her some bags of cement, so that she can build a house for her goat, Queenie. M brings us tea every day, and we love her for that. She's always cheerful, even when she is sick. She is one of the clients of TASO, and her story is as heartbreaking as any. Her husband and co-wife have both died of AIDS. Her sister as well. She now cares for her three biological children, her nephew, and two other children. When we were visiting, her mother was there because she had just come out of the hospital and is suffering from pneumonia. The goat house is needed because they've been brining the goat inside to sleep at night, and it is making M sick to stay in the house with her and her urine. Anyway, it's the only thing I can say we've done here that has really made a difference in someone's life, and at least I can be proud of that small accomplishment.

The small things
It is amazing how the small things, bringing tea, and building a house for a goat, seemingly insignificant, are the things that leave a lasting impression. Love, Your brother.
