Well its been quite a while since we blogged. It is not easy getting internet in Uganda.

We have done so much in the 3 weeks we have been here.

We are all really enjoying volunteering at the babies home and we now want to take them all home with us!. They all have their own personalities and are just adorable even with snotty noses and smelly bums.
We have all had at least one baby vomit over us and have changed too many dirty nappies to count.

We have just come back from trekking the gorillas in the Bwindi National Park. Again an amazing experience.

We have been involved with other projects such as Project Injustice with street kids and Voice of Hope. It has been an overwhelming experience seeing kids from the slums trying to make their way through life. We have seen the slums first hand, a sight that will be permanently in our memories. We have been teaching them English, Maths, Reading, Writing and simply getting to know them. They have taught us so much over the past few weeks, attempting to dance their traditional African dances, learning how to play the African drums and Luganda language lessons.

Well what can we say, Boda Bodas (motorcycles) have been quite a life threatening experience (just kidding parentals!!!) It is the main transportation in Kampala and every time you take a ride, you don't know what you are getting yourself in for.

We are off to Jinga in a few days to go EXTREME water rafting and enjoying the nile activities. We will write again once we have better internet.

I am so impressed with the volunteering you are doing. It will no doubt be a memory that will stay with you for ever. Stay safe, and look forward to your next installement. Cheers, Alison xxx
