We looked forward to a free day. Highlights included: 1) Kayanga errands; 2) Said "good-bye" to Carsten at the hotel; 3) Ordered tailored clothes from the dressmaker; 4) Lunch with the Chobya family; 5) Eunice Chobya made me a suit.

NARRATIVE: It has been so handy having Carsten around to answer questions - where is the best coffee in Kayanga? How do you arrange your schedule for work here? How did you meet your wife in Kayanga? But Carsten had to leave after he and Steve walked to the bank. Carsten came to work with Venant and the AIDS project with the ELCT. he was lookimg forward to meeting his wife and taking a holiday on the beach side of Tanzania. We said good-bye.

George Chobya's picked us up at 1:20 and brought us to his home not far from the hotel. We were greeted by two of his sons and a friend who joined us. We sat while George and the boys chatted and Eunice made the meal. I met Eunice just one time in 2008 and had forgotten how smart and how nice she is. We looked at photos, complimented George on his home and chatted about

the St. Thomas engineers and Professor Kaye. George still had the camera that Andrew gave him and still had all the photos he took in 2008. We gave George the gifts we brought for him and Eunice and they liked them. Lunch was excellent - the usual fare, bananas, potatoes, rice, spinach and pineapple. After lunch, Eunice brought me into a back room and excitedly showed me a deep purple suit she had made for me. In traditional African fabric, the suit fit me perfectly. How did she do that? She saw me one time for fifteen minutes in a larger group, two years ago! It was lined with padded shoulders, and was amazingly tailored for me. I thanked her from my heart. Late afternoon we walked as a group sans Eunice, back to the hotel. We had a lovely visit and a lovely goodbye.
