Dear reader,

welcome back for the continuation of my travelblog. I apologise for the delay in world travel updates, however, it turns out that PhD studies are not only about travelling, but also about, well, studies!

Nonetheless, somehow I have managed to squeeze in another serious journey, this time to South East Asia. My previous travelling partner, and eternal soulmate, of course, Helene, is currently working in Norway after completing her medicine degree. Instead of her pleasant company, I am travelling with a highly-deserving second best travelmate, namely my brother, Remi.

Within the next five weeks, we will be visiting Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Our experiences will be reported here, thus reviving the travelblog, and I thought what better opportunity to finally post the photos from the wonderful safari that Helene and I did in December 2005.

During 6 days, we visited the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti National Park, and the Lake Manyara National Park. I used my analogue SLR camera for nearly all the photos to ensure high quality photos, however, all the SLR photos came out ugly (faulty camera), thus my collection of decent photos is very reduced. Previously, my girlfriend, Helene, and I kept this blog for our travels to Africa and South America. From November 2005 to February 2006, we visited Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, sweet home Norway, Peru, and Ecuador, before returning to our place of... full info

Notice the difference in grass colour on the ridge in the background. Incredibly, the reason is varying amounts of water dropping during rainfalls!
