Well this is the last few days of a very relaxing and entertaining trip. I hope to include pictures of both our visits to Pangani and Zanzibar. We had a great time snorkling on Maziwe Island in Pangani. While visiting Pangani we attended the weekly market which featured local crafts and certainly ate our fill of the great food at Mkoma Bay Tented Resort. Our hosts Lisa (RPCV) and Ulrick Lind were most helpful and cordial. All in all it was a very restful visit concludine with a sumptous 4th of July banquet.

Early the next morning Lisa gave us a lift to the river harbor where we boarded a 35ft wooden, motorized dhow for the four ride to the northern tip of Zanzibar Island at Kwenda. We spent two nights at Kwenda Rocks Resort and read and ate. After our staw we were driven to Stonetown, Zanziber and the Tembo House Hotel for two nights. While in Zanzibar we enjoyed the great capuchino and the coffee house (both days) and enjoyed the Spice Tour. The first night in Zanzibar we walked to the Forhadani Gardens for dinner provided by a batery of cooks serving bef, fish, chicken barbecue as well as a type of pizza all very delicious. Dinner the second night was at Mercury's where we dined on fish tacos, fajitas and curry. We left Zanzibar and traveled by ferry the Dar-es-Saalam where Wendy undertook training for PSDN, a group that provides support to Peace Corps volunteers in Tanzania. We had a good time in Dar. Our Safari came to a conclusion as we put Jennifer and Dylan on their plane for the return to the USA. We were sad to see tham go but filled with renewed vigor to persue our P.C. and village goals. We will write more as we proceed. Love Wendy & Dave
