These zebras were so beautiful! They frightened easily so I just got a few shots

Crossing the floodplains

This is what our safari vehicle looks like. We cross over a rickety bridge made of tied together logs. We often see a crocodile sunning himself here. I always worry about going over the edge!

We were at the mercy of our rangers here. They stand up and push us across the floodplains looking for frogs. The water is about a meter deep - no crocs but hippos are a strong possiblity

This baby elephant stays under her mom's legs. When he still fits under the legs - the rangers know the elephant is under 1 year old.

These giraffes we just saw this morning. They were so graceful when they moved. They spooked really easily - one of their herd had been killed 2 weeks ago by a leopard. It was a year old male.

This was our motor boat ride throught the papyrus reeds. Channels had been made by Hippos so we need to get in and out before they come out for the night. They are very agressive

Unbelievable!
We are all dripping green with envy. What a lifetime experience! Awesome. Although photos appear grainy on my older laptop I know the quality is simply lost in the transmission. I can't wait to see them first hand. Shall I research address for National Geographic?
