Little Claire, Big World.

I am in Cape Town, in a wee room with wooden floors and a barred window with a view of The Mountains! The area im in is called the Obs and is the funky mix of students, cafes, bars and sunshine. Its 1.12pm our time, which is bout 12:12pm your time your time and I think it is fair to say that the jet lag has well and truly kicked in as it just took me 4 tries and dictionary.com to figure out how to spell 'mountains' (apparently there is only one 'o')....hmmmm.

Singapore was amazing! i ended up having to catch four trains to get into the centre city, which i Claire Brighton managed to do unaided without getting lost or having a sleep deprived breakdown...proud much!...then proceeded to buy 13 strands of baby freshwater pearls and a packet of mints from a guy with only half a leg.

Singapore airport is heaven itself! they have the most beautiful designer shops (Gucci, Chanell, Prada) and enough Toblerone to feed half of the developing world. However, due to an unfortunate combination of the effects of humidity from my city travels and a very inopportune choice of footwear, I ended up walking round bare foot, with mad hair and spent a great deal of time curled up in an oversize sofa at the 24hr Starbucks overdosing on Cappachinos and waiting for my boarding call...which, true to form, i was late for :D

I arrived in cape Town at 7.35am and was picked up by this guy called Sly with crazy dreads and the most amazing smile and taken to 89 Station Road where i just managed to pick a room, unpack and have a shower beore everyone left for the wine country for wine tasting at two different Wineries, followed by Dinner by tiki torch and candle light in the 'Secret garden' at La Caoronne Estate.

...Can i just say, i think i might be in heaven.
