Hello everyone! I moved into my new place it is amazing. Once the internet starts working over there, I will post pictures of my sweet new digs. We went to the aquarium- it was REALLY COOL! There were all kinds of sea creatures from both the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. SO NEAT. We were there for the feeding of the Penguins which was very interesting. They weigh them every day - some fish eat 0 sardines while others will eat up to 10 if they are feeding their babies or beginning to lay eggs because they have to incubate their eggs for up to 10 days. The eggs hatch between 38-42 days later. They feed the Penguins everyday - all of the penguins have names, and they are distinguished by the different spots on their bellies. Also the only sure way to tell if it is a male or female is by DNA- otherwise you can try to tell the difference because the girl penguins are more BEAUTIFUL. Which is true they really are. This particular type of penguin is a dying population only 100,000 still exist and they ONLY live in South Africa. They are so cute. Anyways, after the penguin feed we went to the Predator aquarium and watched while the feed those fish. There were something like 100 different fish is this one tank, with Ragged Tooth Sharks and a Turtle (LOVED THE TURTLE). The sharks get fed by hand by the scuba divers only once a week because they have slower metabolisms, chum and pieces of fish is fed to the other fish in this aquarium 3 times a week, the rays were fed also three times a week- they are bottom feeders so the scuba divers put the food at the bottom of the tank and the turtle gets fed by hand about 3 times a week too - it was interesting they were putting a paddle into the water that was black and white checkered - trying to train the turtle so that when the world cup starts they will feed it by placing a black and white checkered soccer ball in the tank - WORLD CUP FEVER is upon us. We are about 2 weeks away :)

I forgot most of the fish's names but I will give it a shot. I LOVED IT. I really should get my scuba certificate-- hhmmmm something for the future

Get certified little girl and we could do a girl's dive trip. Woo hoo! I have never heard such an in depth description of a visit to an aquarium.Sounds like a cool place to visit. Enjoy your new digs. I will miss you at the Grand Opening of the Levin Country Club. Won't be the same without you, but it will be here when you return. Keep up the never ending party! XOXO, R
