Castleburn is in the southern Drakensberg, in the foothills of the mountians. Waking up with the fresh icy weather is truly an amazing feeling. This resort has a variety of size chalets, with four sleepers and chalets going up to eight sleepers. We have stayed in the four and eight sleepers. They are all thatch, with facebrick walls, a kitchen, lounge, dining rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms. There is a large range of facilities ranging from fly fishing on a nuber of different dams, golf, giant chess, a games room, and one can even experience the beauty of the drakensberg by horseback, on the guided tours. One can even go on walks around the resort and over the foothills of the mountians. This resort is fun for the whole family, and you can even go to the resturant or to the bar and watch large sporting events. It is a beautiful resort, and so tranquil and peaceful. I throughly enjoyed our stay and would return again to experience the beautiful scenery.
