Wendy & Roger's World Cup South African Adventure

The Beggining.

Today Fabio Capello picked his 23 players. Whether we agree with his choices or not we must all get behind our Team and support them all the way.
In our case it's all the way to South Africa!!!!!

Roger and I depart the UK on 11th June to start our adventure. We fly into Johannesburg and there the fun will begin.

It is my intention to post daily what we are doing, what has happened, what the atmosphere is like and what the World Cup fever is all about.

We have tickets through to the Semi- Final, fingers crossed we get that far, but will be home for the Final. We could have got Final tickets, but made the decision early on that we would rather be back in England to watch England beat Brazil or Spain or the Germans in the last match of the Tournament. Ha Ha.

This entry on the blog is a test run as well, because I have never done any thing like this before and really hope it works for me. Once I get used to it and once I am in SA I will post photo's etc of our adventures, which will include a safari to Kruger, visit to Robben Island and Table Mountain, SA Lion Park, Cape Point and Knysna Elephant Park to name but a few.

Oh Yeah, I'm trying to get Roger to go shark diving, but he can't swim and will have none of it.

Now it starts...........
Well Wendy....................sounds really exciting except for the football bits!!!! Then again I know how bonkers you and Roger are ( about football) so I know you will both have a great time. Mike and I are going on holiday on 11/06 too. We are going to Newcastle to stay with his Mum on 11/06 and then we go to a caravan at Amble on 12/06 for a week. We love it there so are really looking forward to the break (especially from work). See you on your return. Keep safe and healthy. LOts of love from Christine :)x
