Sesriem

A short but scenic drive with mountains rising up from the plains took us to Sesriem the gateway to Sossusvlie home to some of the highest sand dunes in the world which we hope to see tomorrow in the early morning light.

Today we took a short walk into the narrow Sesriem canyon and I attempted to climb the Elim dune but a lack of time and stamina meant I only got about half way up.

Today my camera started to put a nasty black splodge on the images, probably some dust or sand which has got into the inner workings. Consequently for the rest of the trip I will be using my spare which has less zoom and not so many bells and whistles, but hopefully will record what we get up to.
