After a 24 hr ferry crossing and 3 days in Spain we finally made it to Africa despite a near broken ankle on the eve of our departure.

Spent last night in Pension La Castellana in Chefchaouen in the Rif Valley. Despite hundreds of offers for kif en route from Cueta we managed to resist and set off early this morning for Meknes. Lots of mechancial work on landrover planned for next few days...photos to follow soon we hope...

UK to South Africa by Landrover On 3 November 2004 Neil and Katherine will set off from Plymouth on the cross channel ferry to Santander, Northern Spain - destination Capetown. We plan to spend a minimum of 6 months driving overland through Spain, Gibralter, Morrocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkino Faso, etc,… basically we'll be planning the route as we go along!
