Hi everyone,

We are now in our 2nd day at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve on the Eastern Cape, South Africa and on the 12th day of our travels. We have seen so much already! As well as getting married on 6th March in Mauritius, we have been Big Game fishing and caught a Barracuda, Dolphin watching in Tamarin Bay, a Catamaran Cruise along the West Coast of Mauritius,and now here we are in an out of this world private Game Reserve. After two Safari drives we have already seen Lions including 3 month old cubs at very close quarters, Giraffes, Rhino, Spring Bok, Wilderbeast, Jackal, Giant tortoise, Zebra, and more. There are 2 game drives per day at 6am and at 4pm so hoping to see much more before we leave. We were originally staying for 2 days but have added another as it is just so fantastic!
The staff here are so friendly and attentive. As a lovely gesture to the honeymoon couple we went back to our Lodge last night and were greeted by 30 plus tea candles and Champagne on ice! Our suite at Ecca Lodge is amazing with a lounge, huge bedroom and bathroom, inside and outside showers and a deck with private plunge pool...... actually very similar to the Taj Exotica in Maurtitius. This has the edge as it's all inclusive and the staff offer un equalled service standards, where as in Mauritius everything had a price tag... and an extortionate one at that. In between the two we stayed one night (and that was enough!!) at a rather less luxurious hotel (doss house) in Port Elizabeth...... the trouble is you get spoilt! Enough for now yet more cuisine on offer before our afternoon tea and evening game drive.
