Question: What types of music are popular in Kenya?

Music in Kenya is different with genres. Most is folk music. They also have genres like us such as rap, hip hop, pop music, etc. Kenya music is made by many tribes. It is very calming and beautiful. Listening to the songs ,given on this website, are very beautiful and unique. They speak their language which is Swahili and English. They use many instruments such as drums and the accordion. It is very up beat music, they are enjoyable.

Some of the songs I listened to were Wuoro Monono by Daniel Owino Misiani and Kothbiro by Ayub Ogada. Lisetning to these songs, they just make you want to dance. You can tell that by the sounds of their instruments, and the way they sing it, Kenya is very into their tribes. I think Kenya's cultures and heritage is very unique and different. One day I hope to go to Africa and dance to Kenya music. Their music will make your heart beat fast and give you the feeling of extreme joy.
