Putting up Fence
We purchased property, so we decided to fence off the property we bought!
Rafters
everything is done by hand.. this is the Fundi putting on the rafters and roofing timbers... he was leveling the tree with the machette.
New & old Building
This is the building before mudding...
And the walls are up!

Holes had to be dug for the large posts to be set for the new building.

Making the Mud
Hard Work! -- The mud has to be the perfect consistancy, we dug into the red earth, added water, and dig dig dig, stomp stomp stomp. We used our leg muscles to stir the mud!

These are the children who will benefit from this new school building! They are super excited!!!

To start the mudding process, clumps of grassy dirt are put into the walls first.

Adding mud to the walls and carrying it to the building was a large task... we also had to carry water from a well that was nearly 1/4 mile away...to even make the mud!

I was soo happy the whole commmunity really came together for this project! Most were parents of the students!
