From Bahir Dar where we are based we took a chartered van to Lalibela an arduous 10 plus hours of driving on bad roads, along the way we hit a hailstorm that lasted a good 10 minutes. Into Sudan?
Hi Gil....joe and i are enjoying your blog and your photo's are AMAZING! He and our daughter will be leaving the states on Jan 1, heading to Cairo, then into Sudan and on to Ethiopia....I am anxiously awaiting your comments on Sudan as I worry about them already!

Probably the friendliest country weve been to in Africa, quite safe, locals hardly hassle you not lots of tourists other than UN people and occasional backpackers, they sure will enjoy it....

dear to all Ethiopian orthodox tewahdo religions, this shows how much we are reach in history,tourism and other special and amizing arts and also this shows our recent civilization and we have to keep them thes are the origin of Ethiopian, becouse we are nothing with out them and finaly i would likes to thanks who have loaded this.
