Luxor Day 2
August 2, 2009

This morning we had the pleasure of sleeping-in until 6:30! Then we got up, ate breakfast, and headed to our last stop of the whole trip: Karnak Temple. This temple was kind of like Luxor Temple…huge columns, statues, and obelisks. The ancient Egyptians are pretty impressive. After the temple it was back to the airport for a flight to Cairo and then onto the bus for the ride back to Alexandria. Overall, this trip was amazing. I saw more in four days than I could have ever imagined. It was such a cool experience to watch the sunrise at the Pyramids, to ride a camel, to see a mummy, to go inside king’s tombs, to walk around amazing temples, to cruise the Nile, to haggle with shopkeepers at the bazaar, and to sit on the roof of a hotel and watch a movie in Arabic. What an amazing four days. : )
