The country that I will be comparing the United States to is Chad. Chad is ranked 184 with its HDI at 0.34. Compared to the United States, that is very low. The United States is ranked number 3 with HDI at 0.937. The three aspects of each country that I will be comparing are health, education, and trade, economy and income. The life expectancy in Chad is 49.9 years. Chad’s life expectancy being very low could most likely be due to the fact that there is war, famine, disease, and poor health. The average years of schooling are 1.5 years. This is very bad because the expected years of schooling is at 18 years. Chad’s trade, economy and income are at 0.374. The United State’s life expectancy is at 78.7 years. The average years of schooling are 13.3 years. Also, its trade, economy, and income are at 0.897. Considering how Chad compares to the United States, it is considered a developing country.
