From 2009, though this year's race will be tomorrow. And just for the record, I never streaked the race! Back in my running and jogging days, I ran in several editions of the Bay to Breakers Footrace in San Francisco. Back then, the race often experienced record numbers of entrants, and lived up to its name as the world's largest footrace. The oldest fast food joints that I have visited (from Lovefood): Back in Lodi again: California is jam-packed with historic fast food restaurants, and the state is home to the oldest operating McDonald's and In-N-Out Burger restaurants. That original roadside stand is long gone (though it is marked with a plaque). After getting back to the RV last night, Ray proceeded to input photos to the blog. As you may have noticed, there were no captions with the pictures. He said that he had been over served, and that I was lucky the pictures got in! It was a fun night, and great to be having diner out. There were many laughs throughout the evening, many of them at my expense. After breakfast this morning, Ray needed to dump the RV's tanks. As he was doing this, Raymond asked if he could show him how it's done, so he went over to his RV. They must have Conan working at the factory tightening up the dump tank cover. I pretty much slept from 10:30pm until 7am. Again, Manoli woke up earlier than I did, but that's pretty much the norm. We packed up our stuff, making sure anything we would need onboard before they loaded our luggage, was in my backpack. We made arrangements with the Breeze Inn driver to take us to the ship around 2pm, and left our baggage in the luggage room, so we could tour Seward a bit more. We followed the main highway towards downtown Seward. There are basically two parts to Seward, the portside and train depot at one end and the main part of town at the other. Today we were heading to Seward to pick up our cruise ship. The train left at 6:45am. so we needed to be packed up and waiting for our taxi before 6am. The taxi arrived at 5:50am and we headed to the train depot. Unlike the other train trip, this one was crowded! There was a long line, out the door, and then weaving back and forth inside. We finally got our tickets and boarded the train. We were in Car C, seats 2 & 3. They weren't bad seats, but I wish we had the two in front of us, since those seats had a table.
