I'm sure "A Tear Filled Good-bye, reflections on last 2 years" is a great blog, but since it's private, how can anybody judge for themselves?
Just a thought.
Reply to this Ana must have changed her account to private recently, I was able to read it last time I tried but you're right it's private now?!?!

It used to be public. What a pity she made it private!
Got to view it, just now.
Moderater priviledge. Moderators can see private blogs, for moderating purposes. 😊
I will send a private message to Ana. Maybe she will make her blog public for a while so everybody can see her Blog of the Year.
Reply to this Ana is making her account Public again, so everybody will soon be able to see the blog. 😊
Reply to this It is very nice to be recognized in this fashion. Thank you everyone.
It would be interesting if each of the bloggers on this list told which of their blogs they think was their best writing, their best photography and their biggest adventure. I suspect it would be an interesting collection of blogs.
Reply to this Wow thanks guys means alot that you think so much of my blog! :-)
Reply to this I never thought much of myself as a writer, so I really really appreciate this. The recognition coming after a simple motivation to chronicle one's travels (so i do not forget the details as I grow older.....) makes this TravelBlog experience my "biggest adventure". Thank YOU!!!!
Reply to this Thanks guys!
I have to apologise about not getting involved in the selection process, but, to be honest, I don't read too many blogs when travelling and try to stay clear of computers as much as I can. I promise that next year I'll be better!
I can't wait to read the other winners when I get back.
Reply to this Sorry!
Stupid internet connection. Keeps vanishing, but it seems it actually posts my comment even when it says not...... arghhhhhh, this is why I stay clear of computers when travelling! Mods, feel free to delete all my comments save the first!
Thanks
Reply to this Thanks all for the nominations. The first diving with Leslie was indeed one day we will remember for long time. It's like everything...your first is always a little special!
Happy New Year to everybody!
Reply to this Honored to have made the list twice, I'll assume this legally makes me a journalist, meaning I can't go to North Korea and hug it out with the younger, chubbier member of the Kim dynasty. Alas, I hadn't visited before mostly due to the fear of having him cheapening the embrace by doing the manly, pat on the back move a few seconds in.
Reply to this Good one Tyrone! Weren't we all journalists when we first draw our first letters by in kindergarden? so i'm sure they'll be ok with it...wherever...lol...
Reply to this Many thanks to all who have contrubuted to this discussion and delighted to be included in the list along with others who donate so much to the world of travel, and with special applause for Liliram and her memories of yesteryear. But my own favourite (writing) would be the one Liliram first wrote to me about some months ago, Motorhome News from Europe 40
Motorhome News from Europe 40.
I should like to have seen Tracey Doxey included in there somewhere for her special ability to provide us with a rare view of her 'inner self' - but I was too late with my nomination!
Thank you Travelblog.
David

Yes, I love her blogs too. We will put her in the
Hall of Fame in April. 😊
What a pity it is too late to put some of Tracy Doxeys blogs and those of other fantastic blogs on the Blogs of Year list. This is always the way with something like this where a selection is chosen. There are so many good ones that were not chosen. With thousands of good blogs and bloggers it would be just about impossible for those nominating to find them all and nominate them in the one month of the year they are given to nominate.
The list of Blogs of the Year should be considered to be a selection, or a sampling of the Best of a Year, rather than a complete collection of all of them.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame open in March, so watch out for it. There will be a Highlighted thread for nominating in.
