1. 6:30 pm ferry on 10/18 en route to Shelley and Kennet's for dinner 2. Sea Tac Airport for China Airlines flight to Tapei, departing at 1:20 a.m. on 10/19 (I watched Da Vinci Code on board, slept, and ate some noodles 3. After a few hours in the Taipei airport, departed for Bangkok, now the morning of 10/20. 4. Spent about 2 hours in Bangkok, mostly on Khao San Road ... napped, read, checked email. 5. Departed for Delhi on 10/21 around 5:20 pm, and greeted other NOLS alums at the airport. We had a group meeting on 10/22 and set out to the northern state of Uttaranchal the morning of 10/23. All this was just to get set for a 10-day trek in the Indian Himalaya ... stories and photos to come. dmc - 11/04/06
