So I arrived in Milano yesterday! What a great city! I really haven't done much but today I explored a little and I think I will love it here! The Duomo (the main cathedral) is beautiful, and unfortunately the whole front of it is under restoration right now. But I will try to find a picture of it without all the scaffolding. The trip here was long, (three flights) but I made it through adn now I have a few days to adjust and get moved into my place for the first month. I am staying at my friend Lucia's place. She is a friend of my aunt Susies and she is such a doll. Everytime I talk to her she is so sweet and helpful, which is nice considering I dont know anyone else here. The city is very welciming it seems to me despite being a big crazy city. Its very hot here and humid....Im sweating like crazy! But at least the sun is shining and thepeople are nice. I have pretty much only been speaking Italian since no one I know speaks English here, but Im doing pretty good I think. I feel like I blend in pretty well which is nice considering Im NOT actually Italian. (well partly, but you know what I mean 😊) This is a great city of business I can tell but even more so of fashion. Theyre not kdding when they call it the fashion capital of the world! The stores here (besides just Prada, Armani and Gucci) hav e amazing goods, and lots of my favorites...shoes and bags (yes, expect me to come home with a plethora of new things 😉. I am trying to get on this time zone but its a little hard considering it doesnt get dark until like 10 pm (yeah, that confused me just a bit last night when I didnt have a clock and the sun was still up). But overall I am excited. I feel like I will have the chance to really enjoy this city and my work here (its so nice to say I am working...I finally feel like a true grown-up!) I can see and feel why people fall in love with this place!

I am SO jealous!
I have wanted to go back to Italy ever since I got home 3 years ago! If I had the money for the plane ride over, I would be where you are in a heartbeat! If you ever want to hook up with some cool Italians there in Milano, I know a few that would love to go out for a pizza or something with a cool American. :) Good luck and keep the news coming!
