The obligatory picture. London London London. Here we go!!!!
It all started about 4 years ago when I was back in RSA and talking to my old pals Ryan "lobs" and Mike "binder". I can't remember exactly how we came up with the plan (one too many Castles i am sure) but before I knew it we had decided to move to the UK sometime in the future.
So here Ryan and I are, in London town with our thumbs up each others asses and not knowing exactly which was is left and right just hanging around for Mike to come. Oh Mike, where are you my long lost friend? No no, everything is going more a less to plan other than the fact that I don't have a job, a bank account or a proper place to stay!! C'est la vie right?! Well I stayed at my mate Rob's house in Kennington for the first couple of nights, he was such a help. I still have my golf clubs over there. Then Lobbits arrived and we moved to Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, NE of London. We stayed with Jane and Grant, fantastic people. They put us up and fed us and all that good

Our Broxbourne room, luuuuxury! stuff. It really made our lives so much easier. It takes about 45 mins to get into london from there place. Ryan and I mastered the art of catching the train for free. If a guy stamped our ticket we would rub the ink off, or when we arrived we would sneak around the sides. good times. I had a bunch of job interviews on the first couple days after arriving. Mainly for bartending, got a couple of positions but then I thought I had landed the ideal 'real' job. Selling real estate overseas, but that turned out to be far from the perfect job. No worries.
Back in Broxbourne Ryan and I had heated competitions at taking penalty kicks at one another. I naturally dominated the affair placing the ball wherever I desired! I went running almost everyday as well up in the hills. It was truly beautiful. Just as you would expect, rolling green hills, wooden fences and sheep in the background. We had some fish and chips, we both felt so sick after them though. Beer is expensive. Really expensive. Like $6 a pint!! gads. Everything is about the same price as the states, except that it
The sun does shine in London!
The weather has been particularly good. is in pounds so you have to double it!! dammit.
Saw my dads old friend, Wilf in Broxbourne. Really awesome seeing him again. Such a character full of life hey. We were both wearing our springbok rugby jerseys, luckily Ryan did not wear his else we really would have looked like moffies!
Went out a couple nights in Broxbourne, came across some pretty rough chicks. Wow, hopefully that is not the general trend in these here parts.
I am now living in Clapham, things are happening fast. I like it.
