Huatulco, Mexico 19th January Mexico, sun, sand and Tequila - Margarita time Never called into Mexico and we will have two bites of the cherry. Huatulco is some 500 Km south of Acapulco on the Pacific side of Mexico. It is primarily a resort town centred around Santa Cruz and La Crucesita. The Mexican government looked for an equivalent resort to Cancun which lies on their north coast. Having never been there, no comparison can be made. Primarily Huatulco is just a resort, situated in the foothills of the Southern Sierra Madre mountains in the state of Oaxaca, it is made up about nine bays and plenty of beaches. We arrived into the bay of Santa Cruz on time at 8 in the morning. There was some doubt to our timings because we had an emergency evacuation of a passenger and had to divert to Caldera, Costa Rica. A glorious morning with most passengers opting to head to the beaches, cafe and guess what free wifi. There were some organised trips from the pier, to nearby towns but these really consisted of taking you to another shopping outlet. For us, coffee, a beer and it would have been rude not to have tried a local Margarita.Even at 11 am in Mexico its 5 o clock somewhere!!!

Mexico
Lovely to see the sun and beautiful blue skis, I'm so fed up of the cold here and Bob is suffering with his chest so can't wait until we're off to Singapore next month.
