Ladies Seminar at Mtu wa Mbo

This past Friday & Saturday we traveled out to the villiage of Mtu wa Mbo about and hour and a half away from Arusha out towards lake Manyara. This young church was established there in 2002 and is now about 40-60 strong. The preacher there is Julius Gasper and his wife Selina. (David Bayi's younger sister) they are doing a great work there building up the Lord's church in this area.

Our speakers for the Seminar were:

The lessons covered our responsibilities to the church as women, and our responsiblities to our mates in the home. There were about 30 to 40 ladies thee each day sitting and listening to God's word being taught from 10am to 3 or 4 PM. They sat on a rock bottom dirt floor, in a Mud clay style building with open windows tin roof with air cracks for the little rain we had and sun shine to come beaming through, wooden backless benches, and smiles from cheek to cheek, taking notes and soaking it all in. Neema helped me by translating for the ladies class
ladies there.

For lunch the ladies prepared rice, beans, and goat's meat, the first day and baked bannanas and goat's meat again on the 2nd day. It was a wonderful adventure.

Ladies Seminar
Thank you so much for sharing your daily lives with us. It is so wonderful to see pictures of the country there but also the wonderful pictures and articles showing people that I learned to love and appreciate while visiting Africa.
