Here we go!Here we go!Here we go!

On our way to Tanzania 2006
Just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know that we have arrived in Tanzania and are all doing great! A great smooth trip with no problems at all... Couldnt have asked for anything better. The kids did great, Greg did great (almost as if he weren'taffraid to fly at all) Everyone settled in and ready to go. The power has been restricted in the country and has been cut off from 7am to 7 pm here lately but for some odd reason today it has been on a little longer. (long enough for a hot shower at least) Gracie has already made a new little African friend named Vivian, just her age, and is playing out in Cy & Stephanies yard with her as I am taking advantage of the extended power this morning. Brent & Cy are off to pick up the crew at their rooms. We have always stayed in the Arusha Resorts before, but Cy found the campaigners a new place to stay for this trip, and it is gorgeous and a little cheaper even than the resort. Its a little further out of town, but much quieter and more peaceful.

The beautiful Mt. Meru in the morning
to go try to get his tanzanian drivers license today and a call phone while he's in town. Stephanie has found a few houses for us to go look at, so we are trying to call and set up appointments with the owners hopefully we'll go looking tommorrow being Saturday and get to see a few of them.

Waking up this morning to a beautiful Tanzanian crisp clean cool breeze with the clouds rolling along the tops of Meru was the most peaceful feeling in the world. It's good to be home again.

Well I'll leave you with that for now and write back soon with more news and pictures... the power is an obsticle that we'll just have to learn to work with. Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.

From Tanzania to You
All our love, Brent & Julie

I miss you already...
I am so glad you have all arrived safely and have had a few blessings such as extra power and houses to look at already! All our prayers have been answered for your safe arrival. Now our prayers change and become for a great and fruitful harvest and the continued safety of your family (also the other missionaries) and the campaigners there now and those to come periodically. I will miss you sorely but will pray for you daily.

Texas Howdy Shout
Dear Richardsons, Glad y'all made it safe all the way to Africa. Sorry to hear about the power. Maybe we need to send you a generator???? How do you keep the milk cold and the ice cream from melting? So many things we just take for granted here in theis country! We are praying for you and hope you are able to find a great house and get settled in soon, so that your kids don't have to sleep in their suitcases - that was the cutest picture I think I ever saw of Gracie in her suitcase with her dolls! We will look forward to hearing from you. Love your website! Preach the Word! We love you! Hossmccain

Prayers are answered
It is so wonderful to know you all arrived safely. God does answer prayers. It is exciting to know that we will be involved daily through your travel blog to know what is happening there. Thank you all so much for your zeal, for your talents and your willingness to go and preach. I hope some day to return to Africa, time will tell. I will begin to pray daily towrd that end. Take care and know you are missed. Karen
