First i'll let you know that i'm safe and not worry about the coup. It is only affecting bangkok. So we are fine. To be honest you guys found out about the coup before we did. As yet there has been no violence. The locals say the king will sort it out.

Back to elephants. Started to ride soi-tong yesterday. It is not as easy as the mahouts make it look. the trick is to pull on her ear. get her to lift her foot, then using her ear and foot/leg to climb on to her back. my first attempt was pretty poor, ended up being pushed up. but got the hang of it now. getting down again is a case of sliding down her leg.

This morning I have been learning how to steer her from the back of neck, I'm not sure haw much she listens to me. If there is food around she just does as she please's. need alot more practise. So speak to you later. Soi- tong is waiting

Looks like you are having a great time. The pictures are great, not sure about the food though. So how many people do you think we could get on Lyndons Lambretta?
