Wow, it's funny how long it seemed to take for this trip to happen but the last few weeks have flown by. Work has been very busy so I have to do a fair bit of overtime and whilst increasing my cash flow, decreased the amount of time I've had to get everything organised. It's insane thinking about everything you need to take with you for a month on the road but it was when I realised that I had taken about six lipsticks I decided that I needed to be a bit more ruthless about what I was taking. The difficult thing is catering for all the weather variations - the UK has the tendency to be coldish (though temops don't look too bad at the moment) and Thailand will be hot! So I have had to be versatile with my clothes packing. Anyway moral of the story is that I have nearly finished packing and there is still room in my suitcase, which is great because there will be room for my Thailand shopping. But will have to check out it's weight at the airport tomorrow.
Yes tomorrow peoples!!!! Can you believe that I am have to work today (Sunday) the day before I leave! My mind is not on the job believe me! Went and got my hair cut and coloured on Friday and my nails and pedicure done yesterday and then came home last night and was in a frenzy packing.
Well my housemate Amanda (she is from York) cooked a beatiful mexican dinner on Thursday night as she is away this weekend, so we won't see each other before I leave. I'm going to go home after work today and do a quick house tidy because I am off to the Gold Coast this afternoon to see Dad for Father's Day and say my goodbyes to him and mum. Head back on the train at 0630hrs tomorrow morning, giving me a few vital hours to panic as I rush around the house remembering things I really need to take with me! My plane departs at 1500hrs tomorrow, supposed to be at the airport three hours before the flights. So depending on how bored I am you may get a brief airport posting but other than that may not hear from me until I get to the UK. Will just play that one by ear, as I am will be in Bangkok for a few hours so if I have any funny plane stories I will post them then. Well I do suppose I should get some work done, until next time . . . .
