It's been ten days since we departed from home, so I though I'd make a start on recording our travels to this point. We started off slowly, travelling as far as Esk, a mere 82ks from home! We'd heard reports that the caravan park there was quite pretty and worth a stay, so together with Jenny and Gary, we spent a night there before moving on to Caloundra. After a very relaxing and pleasant stay there, Les and I farewelled Jen and Gary, Angie, Steve, Luci and Fletch and began our adventure north. Our first overnight stay was at a pretty free-camp at Ban Ban Springs, just south of Gayndah. The Cania Gorge, just north of Monto, was our next stop, where we spent three nights. This is a beautiful destination, with a range of walks on offer as well as a visit to Cania Dam, another picturesque spot. The walks and evenings by campfires, the daily feeding of the native birds, as well as the complimentary billy tea and damper morning tea provided each Thursday, gave us wonderful memories to take with us. They even have a nine-hole golf course! We'd love to revisit Cania in the future. Today the rain started as we packed up to leave, following us all the way. At Biloela we got drenched as we walked from our parking bay to the local shopping precinct for a much-needed coffee break. Eventually we arrived at Emu Park late today, with the rain hot on our heals. We had planned to free-camp at Calliope by the river, but it was very wet and with very little availability on level ground (an amazingly popular stopover) we decided to continue on.

Greetins
Have been thinking of you and have just visited your blog for the first time. The pictures are great and we enjoyed the commentary. We too enjoyed Cania Gorge a couple of years ago. Toowoomba has been cold and a few showery days but not a lot of rain. Look after each other and stay safe on the roads. Cheers Jan & Geoff
