I love snorkeling! I'm not a great swimmer (well, not even good), but the ocean is so different than the cold, freshwater lakes I swam in as a child. The salt water holds you up and with goggles and a pair of flippers -- it's swimmer's heaven! I'm always a little hesitant when I first get in the water, but the minute I put my head under, the world becomes a quieter place. If I had to describe the perfect place to meditate, it would be swimming in a warm ocean with schools of colorful fish all around. You hear your breath go in and out, while you glide along effortlessly as the sea rocks you gently back and forth. Time stands still and all seems right with the universe.

David and both sons are excellent swimmers. Matthew's approach to swimming is to go as fast and as far he as can, while the rest of us check out the colorful fish and coral. He doesn't bother with such things as fins (they slow him down). I've learned how to spot both of them

The word below him is "ALOHA"
when they're out snorkeling -- Curtis' arms come above the water in long, gentle curves, while Matthew kicks with all his might looking like he's got a small motor attached to him.

There's a world under the sea to explore!
Hi Antonio, Thank you for the comment. Nice to hear you had a good experience in Cancun. I will be going to Mexico this winter and am hoping to do some snorkling.
