We took an overnight cruise through the Mekong Delta. i had expected it would be rural and pastoral, but not so, the whole area. We passed by cities, and small and large towns, but never open land. Boat was very nice, so it was an enjoyable day and a bit. Early in the morning, we went to a floating market. Think of Loblaws on a series of small boats. There was the are for cabbage boats, tomato boats, pineapple, sugar cane, etc. smaller boats come up along side and purchase goods, loading them into their own boats and travelling back to their own towns, where the goods are resold.
Spent way, way too long in the airport in Ca Ben, waiting for a flight to Phu Quoc.
Here are some photos of the floating market and sights along the cruise.
Home soon.

floating markets
I love the concept of the floating markets...could we plan to have the floating markets come by the cottage so we could buy fresh vegetables...and I like the way they are painted.. When are you coming home missey?? Today is a mild day but tomorrow we're getting 15 cm of snow...
