Just arrived in Xian, and am writing this blog from our very own computer in our room. Flight was only about 2 hours long however we were delayed again. Just experienced a 1 and a half hour transfer to the hotel from the airport, in which we nearly hit other cars and they nearly hit us. There is absolutely no system to driving in China! However we havent seen a crash yet! Very different from Shanghai. Bit tired and run down in most areas, but still does have the designer shops. Off to the Terracotta Warriors tomorrow which should be interesting. Now off for dinner in Xian. Hoping its less extravagent to some of the food we found on the menu yesterday.

你好
Sounds like you are keeping very very busy, and that you will be more tired by the time you get home than you were before you went!! So I bet you will look forward to the beach part of your trip - because you will probably need it. The above translates as "hello" in Chinese (hope you can see it), just in case you wondered what I was on about. Keep up the good work on your blog, I enjoy having a look whilst at work and will look forward to your next blog. By the way Mum got her results from the ECG she had and all is fine - thought it would be. Anyway, enjoy your time in China and I will wait for your next blog. Take care. Lesley xxxxxxx

Traffic
glad you arrived safely - have seen documentaries on the way they drive out there! Looks horrendous, be careful when your walking around. We had Ann visit us yesterday, she stayed about an hour, thanks for our Christmas present but you really shouldn't have as we thought we didn't buy for each other Dad said don't do it again. Take care. X
