When we arrived back at the hostel last night for our night at the cinema, there was a note for us from our new friends asking if we wanted to go out for dinner with them the following evening. As the night was still reasonably young, we popped down to the bar to join them for several beers and good conversation that went on till the small hours of this morning. Needless to say, we had a bit of down time today. We made it up in time to get breakfast but fell back into bed soon after and ended up sleeping until midday! As we were meeting up with everyone else at 4.30pm, there didn't seem much point venturing out anywhere so we just vegged out for a few hours. It's nice to do that every so often.

When we all got together for dinner there was me, Glynn, Leaf (American teacher), Pete (another American teacher), Emma (English teacher), Will and Lisa (fellow travellers). Pete knew of a Thai restaurant that was cheap and popular with good food located near Siam Square where we had been yesterday. The food turned out to be really tasty though there wasn't much of a choice for veggies. We must have ordered about 20 or more share dishes of fish, chicken, pork, noodles and salad although I got to eat my fried noodles and mushroom salad all by myself :-) Afterwards we went to Swensens (I think that's what it's called) for some posh ice creams before piling back to the hostel for an earlyish night. It was a fun night out with good company and lots of laughs. We've definitely struck it lucky here to have met such a great group of people to hang out with!

Yummy!!
Wow! You guys are really having a good time in Thailand, eh? Needles, fish, pork, chicken AND ice cream all that in one night. Lucky you. So is it true what people say about thai food? Is it really hot? Have fun! :D
