This is what we have to walk through?
Once back in Thailand, we went back to Bangkok for a couple of days to get a few souvenirs. I was able to find some fried worms which were surprisingly tasty and would not mind having them again. Plus, we were able to get Mango Sticky Rice one last time before leaving. I need to find out how to make that delicious dessert. It is heavenly!

We left Bangkok and went to a seaside town on the east coast called Prachuap Khiri Khan. I really enjoyed this place because it was not touristy like most of the other towns we have been to. The bus dropped us off and there were no taxis waiting for us. No drivers bugging us to go with them. It was strange. I tried to flag down tuk-tuk, but the man I waved to was not a taxi. He stopped, gave us directions, and some useful information. People are so friendly there and would go above and beyond the call of duty. When we were leaving, I stopped by the tourism center to find out where the bus station was and they gave us a ride because it was too far to walk. Just nice

through and through.

While in Prachuap Khiri Khan, we rented bicycles to get around and that was definitely the best mode of transportation for this seaside retreat. We visited Khao Chong Krajok (Mirror Tunnel Mountain) which has a Wat at the top with views of the city below. Very beautiful, however, a huge troop of monkeys live there too! We had quite a time trying to get around them to climb the stairs to the top. Macayla was so afraid that at one point a monkey came toward her and she immediately through her water bottle to the monkey even though it was hard to tell if the monkey was even coming for the water. It was a little frightening with so many monkeys around. Eventually, we did make it to the top but it was time consuming and a workout.

Next, we rode our bikes onto the Thai military base and spent the afternoon at the beach. It was nice and relaxing until we saw the jellyfish swimming in the water with us. They were larger than I was used to and I was a bit scared. Many of the Thai families did not seem bothered by

them so I figured it was okay even if a bit leery still. We had a great couple of days in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Well worth a visit.
