After a relaxing and rainy stop over in Tahiti at the Le Meredin we finally arrived in LA. Our accomodation was close to the airport in the suburb Inglewood after 3 public buses, 2 hours later and 1 km walk in the heat of the sun we fianlly found the Inn! dodggy neighbourhood - home of snoop dog! i was a little scared but the indian owner was v helpful and dropped us at the local bus station each day and picked us up!
Was an action packed few days and many hours of public bus riding - Santa monica peir and beach were pretty and very busy. Hollywood was as expected we did a open bus tour which took us around all famous houses, crime scenes and areas such as melrose place and rodeo drve well worth the 40$. On the way home we went via Rodeo beach and had a lovely dinner there where a local (who we asked for directions) told us to go. had a home made lime pie for desert which was YUMMY!
Last day we took a trip to Manhatten beach (was our favourte) full of cute little boutoque shops and cafes!we would
stay here again whem returning to LA mainly because we loved the beach but also after a local said to us while waiting to get picked up from the bus station "Yo homie where u staying - yal look like your from santa monica" scott replies " inglewood" and the character said " yo that hood is the ghetto youl lucky you dont get shot or something " it was at that point i decided im not returning to inglewod becasue of seedy characters like that guy!
Overall i was surprised with the kindness of many people ( we used 3 random peopes cellphones to ring hotel man, ray to pick us up). We will be bak to suny caliornia!!
