Today was the first day visiting something related to the Holocaust. We went to the Wannsee House where the Wannsee Conference was held (where they planned out the execution of all of the victims). It was very informative and gave a lot of insight into how the upper officials thought throughout the war. It wasn’t very upsetting or anything, just informative, which was nice. It was also my first time on the U-Bahn which was cool. I must say that Berlin is a very pretty city and the area that we were in has some of the biggest houses I have seen. They were very cool. After coming back, it was exploring some more and crepes for dinner. We will see what the birthday brings tomorrow.

So, an impromptu night explore lead to three hours of sightseeing, ending up on the far side of Berlin. It was a fun adventure, even though I am not sure what all I saw. All I know is that we walked through the University of Berlin Campus Charite and saw the Friedrichstadt Palast. It will be interesting to go over there later and see everything in the daylight and to figure out what it all was.
