Nusa Lembongan and a surprise proposal...

Our first stop in Bali is the small island of Nusa Lembongan off the south coast. It's often described as the Bali of 20 years ago for its laid back atmosphere and friendly, but not commercial atmosphere. There are no cars on the island, just little trucks and lots of scooters. We're staying in a beautiful place called The Point. It has 4 bungalows built into the cliffside right next to the ocean. We've been taking it pretty easy lazing by the sea or the infinity pool. Today we managed to drag ourselves the 10 minute walk to pretty mushroom bay.

But the most memorable thing about this place is that yesterday evening after a candlelit dinner by the ocean, Alex asked me to marry him. After careful consideration (barely known the bloke 5 minutes) of course I said yes. So neither of us will ever forget this place. Fair to say the trip is off to a good start!!
