For our birthdays, we offered ourselves a tour the Great Barrier Reef, a 4000km long stripe of corals along the Australian East coast. We took a boat that brought us to the reef, and there we both went snorkeling and Erwan also did an introductory scuba dive using the birthday excuse to get a nice discount! The reef is completely another world itself, in the middle of the ocean. Corals, fishes, all marine life is abundant, as well as the colors! We unfortunately did not see any turtles or sharks, but we still have some time for this. But swimming in this transparent water surrounded by dozens of fishes of every possible mix of color was a fabulous experience. But rather than trying to describe to you how it was, here are some pictures of it (Loup´s camera being still alive at that time).
