Day 4
Well Niagara on Sunday was amazing. And it was the best day for weather In the 5days I was there. The drive was only an hour from Lisa and Robs house, which was fantastic. We got into Niagara just after lunch, and wow, the first waterfall you see is the America Niagara, which is amazing in its self, but when you look further down the stream, (i don't think its called a stream by the way), you see the Canadian Niagara, awesome, I believe is the right the word to use. It really is breath taking, and the Canadians, indeed so they should, are very proud of it, although, when you look at the diagram plans, the Americans claim that a quarter of it belongs to them. When you take The Maid in the Mist Tour right into the mouth of it, it really does take your breath away. I had hairs on the back of my back that I never realised I had. A word of warning though, don't be silly and take pictures right in the middle of it, the camera doesn't like water and for anybody that does do it, it takes nearly 24hrs to dry the camera lens out!! Then a stroll up to the top of the Canadian Fall, where you can nearly touch the water. Amazing you can get so close. Sadly no Superman flew down to whisk me of to Planet Cryptonyt, so we went of for a picnic in a park near Niagara on the Lake, and drove back home through miles and miles of Niagara vineyards! , and I didn't touch a drop! Day 6 Toronto to New YorkWell that train journey wasn't too bad. Left Toronto at 8.20am this morning and arrived in New York at 9.40pm, just over 13hrs, and I'm now in a bar sipping a beer, god knows how much its going to cost me. Im still swaying a bit from the motion of the train. Feel like I've been on a boat all day, I'm sure the beer will sort that out. I've now got 4hrs to kill before my train to Boston leaves New York. I originally thought the train was pulling into Grand Central Station, but I was wrong, funny that, and I'm not sure who was more surprised, me, that we werent going into Grand Central or the train conductor who thought I was on the wrong train. Anyway it's all ok, because the train I'm catching to Boston, luckily also leaves from the wrong station. Shame, I was looking forward to popping my head out into New York City, as I'd been to Grand Central Station i was feeling confident, but I don't know this train station so I'm just going to sit here in this bar and have a few beers, and hopefully the beer will compensate my swaying. So, I'm going to hopefully arrive at Boston station tomorrow morning at 8am, I'm then going to try and find my 5star Hostel !!! Its the Berekely Hostel, surprisingly In Berkeley Street. Although I'm not slumming it that much, I have decided to treat myself to my own room at an additional cost of $10 a night. After travelling for 24hrs, thought I'd get a bit grumpy with 7 other women in a dorm, gosh, 7 women, I room, that's brings back memories of working in The Corporate Office at SEEDA !! Well it's been half an hour now and I've nearly finished my beer, I really didn't think this Train journey through did I. Three and a half more hours still to go. Probably have another one, then go and sit in the Amtrak area, waiting for my train, desperately trying not to go to sleep. I want to sleep on the train so I'm fit and ready for Boston. Catch up with you in Boston in the next couple days. Emzxx

Go Red Sox!
Hi Em! You are now in the home of one of the biggest baseball teams in the US - The Red Sox. They are mad for it over there. That and the New England Patriots (probably one of the best American football teams going). We did the Freedom Trail (you pick it up on Boston Common) - it takes about 2 hours and it's really interesting to hear the history of Boston, the famous Tea Party and the home of American independance. And head for Acorn Street up on Beacon Hill - tiny cobbled street and very pretty. Shame you didn't get to Grand Central but never mind - good job you hadn't arranged to meet anyone there! You're doing well with the blogs - interesting AND amusing! Keep them up! :-) Jx
