Trish wants to do a 'Fashion Report" for all you girls out there with hints and what not to do when camping, so I will type as she dictates...

Trish has been both amazed and shocked at what some women wear whilst caravanning - ranging from the downright scruffy to the over the top disco night club attire! The good old 'trackies' (not our van !) are very popular in all shapes and sizes, easy wearing. The range of 'night attire' coming and going to the ablution blocks is 'out there' - from the slinky satin numbers to the fluffy slippers, flannelette (spelling?) pj's and huge fluffy dressing gowns.

Then there are the women who have decided that being in the 'outback' one must dress like a female version of Crocodile Dundee or Steve Irwin ! Crikey, they look funny, long zip off pants, khaki shorts, khaki shirts - pockets everywhere and hiking boots!

Some of the 'disco girls' must think they are back in the 70's, their clothing ranges from skin tight white pants (lycra), to Gary Glitter tops! Not a good look really, especially as some of them are in their 60's to 70's. (Not there yet !!!!!).

The most common fashion statement is of course the good old shorts and T shirts - which as you will see from the photos is what Trish has been wearing. Easy to wear, easy to wash, so all in all quite the best fashion statement whilst caravanning. One other good tip is to have a long sleeve top/hoodie in the car for those cooler windy moments.

That's it from the 'Fashion Guru"

Typers note: Blimey, what does she think about what I wear , day in day out! And, I notice no comment on the beach attire at a couple we have visited !

fashion statements.
well done 'fashion guru' I have to say sometimes when you see folk walking/strolling thru places you can sort of tell they are travellers from their dress!!! as you say Trish the trackie pants and t-shirts and thongs, sandels, or laceups of all sorts. Mike your dress code seems to be shorts and t-shirts or 'topless' especially at the beach! How is the suntan by the way! reading this friday nite fish'n chip nite nothing like the seafood you are having though! might even have a hamburger!!
