Leaving on a Jet Plane

I get ready to depart for a 10 hour flight to Frankfurt today. I will spend a night there to adjust to the time zone and see the city. My friend Tim will pick me up Sept 1st.

I am taking one medium suitcase and my pack. I have my EuroRail pass for Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Austria, which allows me 5 days of travel over the month. I have one flight from Munich to Croatia since it will be easier to fly to the Southern Dalmatian coast than taking a train all the way down and back up again to Germany.

The only part I hate about international traveling is the long initial flight. 10 hours on a plane is not my favorite activity (is it anybody's?), but I look at it as a necessary step to see the cultures, sights and sounds of new places.
