Today and yesterday, I’ve met with my student, Seigo, who is hosting me with his family this weekend. We had lunch both today and yesterday, and I’ve met a bunch of his friends. They’re really cool despite the hefty communication barrier.
He also invited me to go see the Davinci Code movie with his friends tonight. The normal prices for movies is around $18. The reduced student price is $15, but the first day of every month, today, the price is $10. The movie was pretty good, but it had a bunch of so much info that it had to cram into such a short movie. I recommend the book.
The more Japanese I learn, the more I realize how little I actually know. After ‘talking’ with Seigo and his friends tonight, I recognized the fact that I need to learn more. What I really lack is vocabulary. My grammar is decent. I just need to know more words. Seigo is picking me up tomorrow from school, and I’m going to stay with his family all weekend. We were planning on going to an amusement park, but we discovered that there is a $50 entrance fee. Eeek. I’m sure we’ll find something else to do.
Next weekend is a free weekend for us, and we’ve already been invited to go see a Japanese Drag show. How cool is that?! I’ll tell you more about it as the date draws clo

One of my accounts in the Underground is Charlie Brown's Caberet. It too is a drag show. I've already invited dad to go and he's in. How 'bout you and Rachael? Hollerrrr!
