The Mystfying Toilet!The Mystfying Toilet!The Mystfying Toilet!

Press buttons at your own risk :)
Like public bathhouses (sauna's) -.-;
Shy for the few times asked (with fluid "No way" responses), I eventually cracked and thought... what the hell...
So I've gone into the public showers twice so far, each time after a exhausting and relaxing visit to the gym. I don't know if I've gotten over the whole thing, but it wasn't really that bad.... ... . . *crying inside*

And my next new experience is ... well it's not exactly new, but it's my second time having fun with alcohol. And my oh my, that time would probably be near the top of best times of my life because of who I was with. It involved me (korean illiterate), two koreans who knew English sorta okay (hee-seok and his cousin), and a korean who was English illiterate (the cousin's brother). A language barrier has never been this fun 😊 "Head bang-bang!", would definitely be something I'll remember.

The new experience of going to DongDangMun will also be quite the memorable experience. Clothing in Korea is apparently much more expensive than in America, but Dongdangmun was on the cheap(est) side of clothes. Much of the clothing I didn't like, but the other guys

Me-gook, this is Korea. Escape and you'll be barraged in a foreign language as you'll helplessly squirm in confusion ^^
picked clothes I would never think about wearing (like these high school banner shirts). Maybe it's the english written on there that's appealing? Like wearing a tshirt in America with chinese characters on it...

I know I haven't taken pictures (and thus there aren't really any posted here), but maybe I'll get over the shyness of taking pictures of koreans. I mean... its just feels odd for me, who looks all like any korean, taking pictures of a korean restaurant, food, or whatever may look interesting to me. I could see myself taking pictures if I were white or something, ehhh... maybe I'm just making excuses =p Anyways, away from those dang prying eyes (I made sure everyone was gone), I had to take a picture of the toilet in the house I'm staying at. I'm scared and all too confused on how to use this toilet, so all I have is a seat warmer (VERY Very welcome :D)

And then there's vocabulary.... "White Horse", as Hee-seok told me, referred to the (generalized) big white woman with bulging contours (thus, the Horse part).
Talking about large people, everything here in Korea seems small. The sink is sooo

Everything appears smaller, like this "fireplace"!
low, everyone is actually around my height!!, and... well... okay, I think that's all the examples I got...

Lastly, there's the first time I went to a Korean funeral ceremony. I also got to try out this rice wine for the first time too (there have been quite a number of new foods I've tried out). I've also met all these other people that I just about completely forgot about, like .... ... I forgot their names again.... Anyways, the ceremony was interesting in its own right, but I was more interested in what the other people thought about the whole mystical part of the ceremony. Did they believe that their grandfather came down? Were they doing it for the simple sake of tradition? I mean city people tend to be less religious than country folk, so I woulda bet that it was simply tradition, but iono... I didn't want to ask them as I thought it might be rude to someone.

I'm sure there's something I'm missing... but this entry is long enough as it is...

Here's to a sick-free stay. (I've been coughing ever since coming home from the gym today)
